Time for an update......

which I know is long overdue!! So the first question is always the weight...as of March 9th (the last time she was weighed)....8 lbs., 11 0zs!! In 11 days she gained 1 lb. 3 ozs!! Not too much less than what she weighed at birth!! She is growing so fast! On March 9th, she had (hopefully) that last of ther liver function blood work done. We haven't received the results yet. Tomorrow is another visit from the physical therapist and I think Mia's doing great in that department! She's getting better about tummy time and is really doing well holding her head up and bringing it to the center of her body. She's finally sleeping flat on her back (she was on her side) and that seems to be helping with her toaster head. She has another eye exam this Thursday. Please keep that appointment in prayer-someday we hope to not have to go at all! The first picture is Mia in an actual newborn outfit! It makes her look so big and grown up. Yes, those are her feet-very big! It's not just the slippers, either. Her feet fill up a good amount of those things!! The next two pictures are Mia in a pram that Grammy and Grampy bought her (thanks Dad and Diane!). She was able to wear it the last couple of times it snowed. It's starting to warm up, now, but I keep it handy--you never can tell what the weather will do here!! The last picture is Annemarie reading her sister a story. Annemarie looks so grown up. And she's acting all grown up, too! But, not just in the attitude department. She's such a great helper! She's been waiting for a sibling as long as we've been waiting to give her one! She loves to hold Mia and is very careful wtih her. Mia loves her sissy, too. There are many times when Mia is fussy and Annemarie will take her and Mia will stop fussing. Annie can't wait until Mia is able to crawl and walk and talk....I can. One, because I'd like her to stay little as long as possible, but two, because then we'll be hearing, "She touched my stuff! Mom, make her stop!", etc, etc, etc......

Bath Time!

This is Mia after a recent bath. I was trying to figure out how to take a picture of her to show off her rolls that she has on her arms and legs (very exciting!!). But the only way to do that is to take a picture of her in the buff....so, this is as close as I could get! (I LOVE baby rolls!!)
And this is the last Preemie outfit that she was able to wear-and this just barely fit! So, now she is in newborn clothes and has quickly grown out of some of those and into 0-3 months! She's growing so fast--just like any other baby!

This is as close to a smile as I can conjour out of Mia right now. This is the first dress Annemarie wore and I remember taking a picture of Annie on this same blanket when she was just a week old. I guess I should have tried this dress on Mia a while ago...it's a little short!! It was about 20 degrees this day so I just cranked up the heater!! These pictures were taken on March 15th-the day Mia turned 5 months!!

Annie Fannie Doo-Dah

I finally got around to scanning Annemarie's school pictures. This is Kindergarten......
This is First Grade.......
and this is Second Grade. She's definitely lost her baby face. And I think she has decided to grow her hair long, finally. We'll see how long that lasts! She's doing great in school. Her Parent/Teacher conference is this week so we'll see what her teacher says! I have a feeling it will be the usual: "She's an excellent student, HOWEVER.....she's very social." :-) That's really teacher-talk for "She's a talker!"
